Ringo Starr Gives a Shout-out to Liverpool's Jacaranda Club

Ringo Starr made an appearance via video at Liverpool's Jacaranda Club this week at a listening party for his new album Long Long Road and praised the venue for its perseverance.

The "Jac" was a regular Beatles hangout in the bandmembers' pre-fame years and was originally operated by the group's early manager Alan Williams.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Ringo said, "I am still amazed that The Jacaranda club is still there and happening. How great! It was such a thing when I was a lad, it was a step up and it's great that you're still doing it and you're letting the new bands in. Peace and love to all of you, have a great night."

Long Long Road is out this Friday.
