Liverpool's oldest record shop to get blue plaque - BBC
One of the UK's oldest record shops that counted Beatles legend John Lennon and celebrated football manager Bill Shankly among its customers has been honoured with a blue plaque.
...The idea for the plaque was developed in a collaboration between Liverpool City Council's heritage team and the UNESCO City of Music team.
It will be unveiled by Antiques Roadshow expert Wayne Colqhoun, who suggested the shop owners convert an upstairs floor of the Tuebrook store into a museum.

Paul McCartney Stands by Pride Flag, Debuts “Help!” at Santa Barbara Bowl ‘Got Back’ Tour Kickoff - Hollywood Reporter
That it was a no-phones performance, requiring guests to lock away devices in Yondr pouches as they wound their way up to the arena, only added to the bottled-lightning excitement of the show. Scanning the crowd several times throughout the evening, the only things glowing were the beaming faces of the thousands of starry-eyed McCartney-ites in attendance. “Nobody’s got a phone tonight,” McCartney noted at one point and then nodded approvingly. “It’s better.”

It’s family time for Ringo in peace-powered performance - Neon
You need to check out the people in the crowd who turn out for headliners on the Strip, especially the legends. They are happy, excited, spinning around to take selfies.
The woman in front of me Friday at the Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band show at The Venetian Theatre was like that. Sitting on the aisle near the front, with what seemed a group of family and friends. She wore a black, button-up sweater with silver stars down the sleeves.
She knew all the words, even to the new stuff. She swayed along with the legend, in her yellow submarine, and threw peace signs to the stage.
Soon I realized this was no ordinary fan. She was Barbara Bach, the accomplished actress and Ringo’s wife.

Signed photo of all four Beatles goes under hammer - BBC
Autographs of all four Beatles, collected by a teenage fan in 1963, have been sold at auction.
A photograph of the group – signed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, with Starr also writing a personal dedication at the top – went for £1,900.
It was taken before a gig in Coventry at the start of the Beatlemania era, and went under the hammer on Monday with Richard Winterton Auctioneers in Lichfield.
Seller Chris Barrows, 74, said his late brother Phil collected the signatures during a trip out with their father Ron, who was a piano tuner.
