Did George Harrison steal credit for "Electronic Sound"?

This week marks the release of George Harrison's Apple Years , a box set collecting all the studio albums he issued on the Beatles' own record label. Inside are the classic All Things Must Pass and strong Living in the Material World , along with the less beloved Dark Horse and Extra Texture , and two downright oddballs: Wonderwall Music and Electronic Sound . These last two are Harrison's first releases under his own name, but neither is the conventional solo album you might expect. Wonderwall is the soundtrack to a surreal 1968 film and features a mix of Indian classical music and instrumental rock from Liverpool's Remo Four and various others, including Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr. George Harrison with Moog synthesizer Electronic Sound , meanwhile, is two sides of noodling around on the then-groundbreaking Moog synthesizer. Only the most devoted Harrison fan could love it, an...

Pippa Harris, producer of director Sam Mendes' quartet of biopics focused John, Paul, George and Ringo, discussed the April 2028 release plans for the films. Via Variety : “The idea at the moment is the films will come out in 2028, and we want people to be able to experience them in the cinema at the same during the same period,” she said, adding that while she didn’t expect audiences to “see all four films on the same day,” the concept was for a more scattered approach to viewing them. “So within the same month — you might see one a week, or you might see one weekend and two the next and one the next. However you see it, I think our hope is that people will see all four films.” Each film in the series will be from the perspective of a different band member, and are being led by Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. ...She added: “The Beatles are simply, I think, the greatest band in history...
