Apple Corps Ltd, the multimedia corporation founded by the Fab Four, announced it would create the first ever official Beatles experience in the band's home city.
The plans will see The Beatles Story attraction moved and revamped into a central, immersive attraction in 2028.
Mary said: “The quadrupling in size takes me back to 2008 and the exciting time ahead of us. We were only a small attraction, and we were outgrowing our space. Then Liverpool was European Capital of Culture, and we tripled in size. We got a much bigger shop and a cafĂ© which we’d never had before.
“So to hear the new attraction is going to be even bigger is amazing because we can only do so much here with being a Grade I listed building. There are only so many people we can get into this building.
“The Apple Corps team are just lovely. They're really respectful of the city, and the people, and the story. For us to be recognised and wanted as part of the new attraction really tells us that our foundation, what we’ve done over the last 36 years, is really important and it's a credit to us and the team.
“I felt like it was a dream come true, to be honest. As we say, we’ve come home, and it’s happened, and we can all now look forward to the next phase.”

Boston.com: How Boston photographer Roger Farrington got the last photographs of John Lennon at work
...Then, I hear John Lennon himself, singing, coming down the stairs. It was spine-tingling to hear the voice I’d heard thousands of times on records.
He burst into the room, full of energy, dressed head-to-toe in black with this enormous black hat. He seemed seven feet tall. He put his hand out: “I’m John Lennon.” I said, “I know!” [laughs]
His energy was real. He was looking forward to the day. He looked great— tan, his hair was long and sun-lightened because he’d been in Bermuda to work on songs.
