Some shaky video from Ringo's star-studded country show at the Ryman this week. According to a recap from Billboard : Each show featured Starr welcoming a star-studded lineup of his fellow music luminaries, including Sheryl Crow, Jack White, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, The War and Treaty, Jamey Johnson, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Mickey Guyton, Sarah Jarosz and Larkin Poe. Burnett hosted the show, welcoming artists throughout the evening, as some performances featured artists in collaboration with Starr, while other performances featured the evening’s guest offering solo performances. ...Backing the artists was an ace band of revered musicians that included Mike Rojas, Daniel Tashian, David Mansfield, Dennis Crouch, Paul Franklin and Jim Keltner. The Guardian has a new interview with Julian Lennon that includes some quite frank discussion about living his the legacy of the Beatles and his dad. Highlights: What drives you? Ringo Starr 'Country' TV Special will Benefit L.A. Fire Relief

Ringo's performances at the Ryman Auditorium tonight and tomorrow are being taped for a two- hour CBS/Paramount+ TV special that will benefit fire relief efforts in Los Angeles, according to media reports. The Ringo and Friends concert special is set to air sometime this spring and features him accompanied by Billy Strings, Larkin Poe and Molly Tuttle, who guest on his new country-themed Look Up LP, along with other stars, including Brenda Lee, Jack White, Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, the War and Treaty, Sarah Jarosz and more. “I’m excited to hear my songs done in a country vein and to play with this incredible group of musicians,” Ringo said in a statement. “It will be two nights of peace, love and country music.” According to Rolling Stone : The program will showcase Starr performing songs from his new album alongside some of his classic Beatles tracks and solo hits, including “Boys,” “Act Naturally,” “Yellow Submarine,” “Don’t Pass Me By” and “It Don’t Com...

Ringo Teases Upcoming Shows at Ryman Auditorium

Ringo Starr is using his social media channels to celebrate his new country-tinged album, Look Up , and teasing his forthcoming shows at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The lineup for the "Ringo Starr and Friends" shows on Jan. 14 and 15 hasn't been revealed, but is likely to include appearances by some of the musicians who guested on the new LP, such as Larkin Poe, Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings. The concerts are being filmed for a possible TV special. Ringo told Rolling Stone the shows will include covers of Beatles tunes as well: "We’re going to do a live show and I’m getting excited because I want to hear ‘A Little Help From My Friends’ in a country style. And ‘Octopus’s Garden,’ of course.”
