Full Details: Beatles 'Anthology' 2025 - Box Sets, Streaming Series, Book - New 'Free as a Bird' Video

Well, as hinted earlier this week, the Beatles are springing a revamped, expanded "Anthology" collection on us, along with a reprint of the "Anthology" book and a return of the "Anthology" video series via streaming. The audio sets are out Nov. 21 . Ordering info on the Beatles official site, which also offers exclusive editions for both box sets that include four 12-inch band photo art cards in a numbered envelope. The video series , now expanded with an extra episode, streams from Nov. 29 on Disney+ . And the book , which is in paperback only and appears to have a new cover wrap but the same contents, is out Oct. 14 . Mojo Mag Reviews the New 'Beatles Anthology' Episode

Mojo just posted a review of episode 9 of the Beatles' updated "Anthology" series, which begins streaming Nov. 26 on Disney+. The new episode will be available starting Nov. 28. Via Mojo : If Peter Jackson’s fan-thrilling Get Back allowed us to eavesdrop on The Beatles in their heyday, then the Anthology finale invites us to hang out with men in their fifties who no longer took their friendship for granted. We see the “Threetles” in acoustic mode, rattling through Bill Monroe’s Blue Moon of Kentucky and Thinking of Linking, which Paul wrote when he was just 15. They also appear cross-legged on a picnic blanket in the garden of Harrison’s Henley-on-Thames home, plucking the 1920s jazz standard Ain’t She Sweet on ukuleles. The nostalgia of reunion leads them back to the very start, before the name the Beatles meant anything. Rolling Stone has helpfully noted which tracks on the forthcoming "Anthology 4" volume are previously unreleased and which have appeared before. See the track list below to see the details. First Listen: Beatles 'Anthology 4

I've only listened through it once, and I've done no a/b-ing or deep analysis, but here's my take on the "new" tunes included on the Beatles Anthology 4 album, out today. As you likely know, there are 13 previously unreleased tracks on the collection, along with new mixes of "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love." The rest of the release includes tunes that have popped up on the Fabs' boxsets, on the "The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963" online release, or on the "Free as a Bird" EP. "Now and Then," from 2023, rounds things out. So, here's what's new: "Tell Me Why (Takes 12 and 13)" — This is a really fun outtake that captures the group practicing their harmonies and then launching into the tune with a guitar intro, which was later lopped off. The band is having fun clowning around. Their voices sound great and the overall fidelity, like every tune on the album, is vivid and lively. It's like y...
