Ringo Starr is using his social media channels to celebrate his new country-tinged album, Look Up, and teasing his forthcoming shows at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
The lineup for the "Ringo Starr and Friends" shows on Jan. 14 and 15 hasn't been revealed, but is likely to include appearances by some of the musicians who guested on the new LP, such as Larkin Poe, Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings. The concerts are being filmed for a possible TV special.
Ringo told Rolling Stone the shows will include covers of Beatles tunes as well:
"We’re going to do a live show and I’m getting excited because I want to hear ‘A Little Help From My Friends’ in a country style. And ‘Octopus’s Garden,’ of course.”
