The Beatles brought pot-smoking into the mainstream and lobbied for decriminalizing cannabis a good half century before many nations and U.S. states opted to allow recreational use of the Devil's lettuce, so it's not a huge surprise or scandal that Paul McCartney was caught on camera recently puffing the stuff in Jamaica this week, yet the clip is gathering a lot of headlines and social media attention.
Maybe the only surprising (but not that surprising) thing about it, is that he said years ago that he'd sworn off the stuff. Maybe this was a one-off (after all, he WAS in Jamaica), or maybe he never fully jumped on wagon. In either case, I don't think the world won't stop spinning.
