'3 Savile Row' Presentation Provides Peak at Beatles' Future Marketing Plans

Apple Corps gave presentation on "Beyond Beatlemania: Evolving The Beatles’ Licensing, Retail and Fan Experiences" at the recent Brand Licensing Europe 2026 conference, dropping some hints as to what fans might expect from the company over the next couple of years.

Highlights from an article in Licensing Global:

Universal Music Group (UMG) and Apple Corps are honoring six decades of cultural legacy through their new partnership, which was announced in August. Joined by Ian Hart, head of content, License Global, Jonathan Sands, head, experiences, Apple Corps; Paul Cole, head, consumer product licensing, Apple Corps; Miranda Langford, head, marketing, Apple Corps; and Damian Treece, head, licensing, U.K. commercial, Universal Music Group U.K. discussed The Beatles' incredible legacy and where the brand is headed next.

The panelists shared the strategy behind the upcoming The Beatles at 3 Savile Row, the band's first official fan experience opening in 2027. The building at 3 Savile Row holds historical significance for the band. The Beatles recorded "Let it Be" in the building and performed their last concert on the rooftop in 1969. Now, 3 Savile Row is set to house interactive activations, hold important artifacts from the active years of The Beatles and more, across seven floors of the building – including that iconic rooftop. Delegates at the BLE keynote were shown some exclusive never-before-seen imagery of the upcoming activation.

...Experiential retail is transforming fan engagement and the team is orchestrating an unprecedented activation window spanning the 60th anniversaries of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "The White Album," alongside Sam Mendes' highly anticipated "The Beatles - A Four Film Cinematic Event" slated for theatrical release in 2028. There are some surprises in store for these upcoming Beatles milestones.

"It's gonna knock your socks off," says Sands. "The next two years are going to be pretty busy."

From multi-generational marketing strategies that resonate with both legacy fans and Gen Z audiences, to innovative merchandise development and e-commerce transformation, the session revealed how Apple Corps and UMG are balancing heritage with contemporary relevance and the vision for bringing Beatlemania into the future. UMG is new to the world of Beatles licensing, but has worked with the band on the music side for years.
