Mojo mag had a first listen to "Little Girl," the previously unheard John Lennon demo to be included in the upcoming Rubber Soul special editions. Details: Recorded in 1965, Little Girl is a John Lennon demo of a song that was never completed with his bandmates. A recording that was such a closely guarded secret that even the most ardent Fabs watchers weren’t aware it even existed. ....“Little girl, I’ve come to say / That this has been a lovely day / I love you, I love you …” sings a disarmingly sweet-sounding Lennon over an idling acoustic guitar, before a more typically Lennon-like pay-off. “…If you’d have asked me yesterday / Then I’d have told you sweet FA…” “It shows you where Lennon was at the time,” Giles Martin tells MOJO. “It is a pop song – maybe a song you could imagine going on Double Fantasy later, when he’d gone full circle. Japanese "Let it Be" Super Deluxe Edition features different take of "For You Blue"

Hang on to your bootlegs... Chip Madinger and Mark Easter, authors of the excellent Lennonlogy reference, report that a Japanese edition of the new "Let it Be" box contains a different take of George Harrison's "For You Blue." Here's their post : For nearly 40 years, nearly since the advent of the CD, The Beatles and Apple have managed to keep the digital contents of the group and solo catalogs strictly consistent around the world. There have been a few exceptions, such as the run of Canadian Help! and Rubber Soul CDs that featured the original 1965 mixes and not George Martin's 1987 remixes, or the initial US pressing of The Capitol Albums Vol. Two which included “folddown” mono mixes rather than the true mono mixes. Saoirse Ronan Shoots Scenes as Linda McCartney for Beatles Biopics

The Daily Mail has published shots of actress Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney for the upcoming quartet of Beatles films directed by Sam Mendes. Some of the filming took place near Paul McCartney's London home in St. John's Wood, London. A young actress also was on set, apparently as Linda's daughter Heather (the Mail article misidentifies her as playing the McCartney's daughter, Stella). Paul Mescal also was scene on set as Paul.
