'The Boys of Dungeon Lane: In Conversation with Paul McCartney & Paul Mescal" Coming to Amazon May 25

From the news release:

Paul McCartney, MPL Productions, Capitol Records, Amazon Live, and Amazon Music are proud to announce the premiere of The Boys of Dungeon Lane, an intimate conversation between Paul McCartney and Paul Mescal exploring the memories, relationships, events, and stories that inform McCartney’s forthcoming album of the same name.

The film finds McCartney reliving the memories and inspirations that form the foundation of the new album with Mescal — who will star as McCartney in Sam Mendes’ forthcoming biopics The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event — offers questions and insights that guide the dialogue. Over the course of the conversation, The Boys of Dungeon Lane tracks  “Down South”, “Home to Us”, “Lost Horizon”, “Salesman Saint”, and “Days We Left Behind” are brought to life via revelations about McCartney’s songwriting, early memories of his parents and bandmates and more.

Fans can stream the conversation exclusively on  Amazon Live and in the Amazon Music app on Monday, May 25 beginning at 8 a.m. ET. Additionally, fans can pre-order the Amazon exclusive White Vinyl Edition of The Boys of Dungeon Lane, available at the Official Paul McCartney Store on Amazon.com and in the Amazon Music app. The album will be available to stream on Amazon Music starting Friday, May 29.

Set for release May 29 via MPL/Capitol Records and featuring first single “Days We Left Behind” and first ever duet with Ringo Starr “Home to Us", The Boys of Dungeon Lane is a revealing collection of never-before shared stories, personal memories, and some newly inspired love songs, from one of the most culturally significant figures of our time. Turning the lens inward, McCartney revisits the formative years that shaped both his life, and the very foundations of modern popular culture. The album is arguably his most personal and introspective to date, untold stories that transport the listener back to where it all began. The new songs find Paul in a candid, vulnerable and reflective mood, writing with rare openness about his childhood in post-war Liverpool, the resilience of his parents, and early adventures with George Harrison and John Lennon long before the world had ever heard of Beatlemania. The Boys of Dungeon Lane is the story before THE story.
