Documentary On Paul McCartney's Stolen and Recovered Bass Set for Screenings in UK

"McCartney: The Lost Bass," about the recovery of Paul's stolen 1960s Hofner bass, is set to screen in select UK cinemas April 2 and 3 and on BBC TV April 11. From the Radio Times : The disappearance of Sir Paul McCartney's original Höfner bass over 50 years ago is one of rock ‘n’ roll’s great mysteries, and the quest to find it is being laid bare in a brand new documentary. Featuring exclusive interviews with McCartney, his brother Mike, Klaus Voormann, Elvis Costello and the roadies, journalists and fans who embarked on a mission to return the bass to its place in music history, the feature-length special is coming to TV screens very soon. The BBC has recently confirmed that McCartney: The Hunt for the Lost Bass will air on Saturday 11 April at 8:45pm on BBC Two and iPlayer. New Ringo Starr Single, 'Choose Love,' Out April 3 - Sean Penn, John Mellencamp and Jeff Bridges Join Drummer in New Album 'Listening Session'

"Choose Love," the second single from Ringo's upcoming LP, Long Long Road , will be available to stream tomorrow, April 3. First featured as the title tune of Ringo's 2005 LP, the new version "Choose Love" includes vocal harmonies from St Vincent. Other collaborators on Long Long Road, out April 24, include Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow, Molly Tuttle, Sarah Jorosz and St Vincent. In related news, Ringo and producer T Bone Burnett were joined recently in a "listening session" for the new album by John Mellencamp, Sean Penn and Jeff Bridges. Video from the session will be shared soon.

Los Angeles Times Reports on Paul McCartney's Fonda Theater Peformance - Numerous Stars (including Ringo) in Attendance

Paul McCartney and band played shows March 27 and 28 in the 1,200-seat Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, and the LA Times filed a report on the first. Some highlights: Friday’s underplay — the first of two instant sell-outs at the Fonda — came as McCartney is drumming up interest in a new studio album he’ll release in May. Outside the venue, a double-decker bus was parked with signage advertising the LP, which is called “The Boys of Dungeon Lane” after a road in his Liverpool hometown. But that hardly seemed like the purpose of the show itself, which lasted about an hour and 40 minutes and didn’t even include a performance of the album’s lead single. The truth is that Sir Paul genuinely appears to get a kick out of these intimate gigs — out of standing right in front of a crowd and doing the magic trick that is a song like “Get Back” or “Jet” or “Got to Get You Into My Life.” ...“Let Me Roll It” had a funky swagger, while “Getting Better” chugged with cheerful insistence; “I’ve Just Seen...
