The British Film Institute site today highlights "Memory," a 1967 short film inspired and soundtracked by the Beatles' "Penny Lane."
This is not the promo film that the Beatles shot for the song, but a completely different film that, nevertheless, has some similarities.
"Memory" was shot in Liverpool and includes shots of a nurse, "banker," "fireman" and other characters, evoking nostalgia for days gone by.
