I had the chance to visit Paul McCartney's "Eyes of the Storm" photography exhibit at the Portland Museum of Art this week and very much enjoyed seeing this array of historic photos on display in large size.
Paul's images provide an intimate look at the Beatles' first American visit and capture the band both at work and at play. The photos are remarkably well-composed — Paul has an artistic eye — and telling. The emotions of those portrayed — joy, wonder, awe — are clearly conveyed.
Key moments ahead of during the Beatles' first American journey are portrayed: London in late 1964, Paris, New York, Washington and Miami Beach, the latter in vivid color.
If you have an opportunity to see the show in person, I highly recommend it.
