Artifact: John Lennon 1960s Sketchbook

A small Basildon Bond brand "Handy Jotter" sketch book used by John Lennon that includes 18 sketches and drawings by Lennon in pen and marker ink, including a portrait of his first wife Cynthia titled "CYN" (the couple were married from 1962-68). The cover is marked "To Peter" in pencil and has a very faded inscription that reads "ART John Lennon." The sketchbook was given to Liverpool comedian Peter Robinson by Lennon in the 1960s, and came from Robinson's house after his death.
