An extremely rare programme for the Northwich Carnival which saw a unique stage appearance by The Beatles to crown the Carnival Queen at Verdin Park, Northwich, Cheshire on the 6th July 1963.
The event saw the biggest crowd Northwich Carnival had ever seen and as soon as The Beatles took to the small stage hundreds of screaming fans tried to storm them, they were held back by police and even the local councillor.
The Beatles are mentioned on the third page of the programme, on the seventh page a list of the day’s events is printed which states that the Carnival Queen will be crowed at 3.00pm and The Beatles are pictured on page 13.
