Tommy Hanley was one of the great music photographers of our time. During the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80’s, Tommy captured some of the most unforgettable images of the biggest names in pop, rock and jazz.

Many years in the making, 'With A Little Help From My Lens’ is the long-awaited story of Tommy’s remarkable close relationship with the world’s most famous band, The Beatles.

The book chronicles his time with the ‘Fab Four’, from when he first met and photographed them in 1963, through to the end of the decade when Tommy found himself at the epi-centre of the eccentricity that was the Apple empire. Finally, he shares his experiences in the 1980’s when he was appointed as an archivist by Apple Corps to assist in tracking down photographs and memorabilia for the Anthology project.

Illustrated with rare and previously unpublished photographs, ‘With A Little Help From My Lens’ is a fascinating and personal account of Tommy’s work and friendship with The Beatles.

This book will be available as a special collector’s edition, strictly limited to just 1,000 numbered copies. Each copy features a specially commissioned hologram front cover of Tommy’s iconic ‘Four Ties’ image and is presented in a uniquely designed presentation box.

Owners of the special edition will enjoy bonus chapters featuring interviews with Tommy about his times with The Beatles, and a selection of rare colour images of both The Beatles and many of the personalities that were also part of the 1960s scene. These images have only recently come to light after an extensive rummage through Tommy’s personal archive, and have been beautifully brought to life using today's state of the art digital technology.

Each special edition owner will also be entitled to pre-register for pre-sale preview of the new image print collection, and be first in line to purchase a selection of Tommy’s images, including the innovative ‘light box’ limited edition prints at generously discounted prices.
