Paul McCartney Talks About New Single, 'Days We Left Behind,' on BBC Radio

Radio Times has details on Paul's BBC Radio appearances earlier today, in which he introduced and played "Days We Left Behind," the first single from his newly announced LP, The Boys of Dungeon Lane , which is out May 29. Details: The new song debuted on Radio Merseyside today (26 March), meaning the people of Merseyside, where McCartney and the Beatles famously came from, heard the song before anyone else. Meanwhile, on The Afternoon Show with Trevor Nelson on BBC Radio 2, the Beatles icon also announced that the track is from a brand new studio album entitled The Boys of Dungeon Lane. The station exclusively broadcast a voice message from McCartney as he opened up about the inspiration for the new song, saying the lyrics were about the past – namely of growing up in Liverpool – and of John Lennon. Paul McCartney's brother Mike posted hints recently about Paul's upcoming new LP, reportedly titled The Boys of Dungeon Lane. Mike's son, Josh, designed a graphic for the album, according to the post, which is also featured on a, so far, basic promotional site here: theboysofdungeonlane.com Dungeon Lane is in the Liverpool suburb of Speke, near Paul and Mike's childhood home.
