New art trail would 'revitalise' Penny Lane - BBC
The trail, designed to encourage tourists to spend more time in the area, would feature Beatles plaques, murals and maps.
"Penny Lane is the most famous lane in the world," said Ian van de Waal. "We get international tourists visiting every day and there's not very much for them to see. The idea is to encourage people to walk along the street, take in all the history of the area, spend some money in local businesses and support the local economy."

The late Don Short, a confidant to both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones called an exclusive estate home for more than 52 years and it is now on the market.
Credited with coining the term ‘Beatlemania’, Don got close to the ‘Fab Four’ while shadowing them on tour, dining with them in restaurants and riding in their limo.
He was renowned for his scoops such as the breakup of The Beatles, the marriage of Elizabeth Taylor, and the death of Brian Jones.
