Coming Up: Pete Ham 'Acoustic' Collects More Demos from Badfinger Great

Via Y&T Music:

Y&T Music is proud to announce a limited-edition CD release of "Acoustic" a new album of rare home demos by Pete Ham, the original founding member of the legendary band, Badfinger.

Ham was also part of The Iveys, when they were signed to Apple Records in 1968, before they changed their name to Badfinger. "Acoustic" is being released with the full support of the Ham Estate and is the first time that these historic recordings have been released to the public.

This is a very limited edition of 1,000 copies that also comes in a beautiful 6 panel digipak with liner notes by Tom Brennan.

As the title implies, this new collection of demo recordings are all performed on one or more acoustic guitars with or without vocals. The songs range from well-known Badfinger classics like "Midnight Sun", "We're For The Dark" and "I Can't Take It" to blues inspired tunes, pop, and classic rock 'n' roll. There are also several songs previously released on earlier Pete Ham albums, but which appear here as different versions with alternate titles.

These rare recordings were compiled and edited by Tom Brennan and carefully restored and mastered by Kevin McElligott.
