Rolling Stones' "Rock and Roll Circus," featuring John and Yoko, set for theater run

A 4K restoration of the Rolling Stones' abandoned 1968 "Rock and Roll Circus" TV special is set for a limited run in U.S. cinemas next month, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The show never aired back in the 1960s, but was finally released on home video in 1996. Directed by Michael Lindsay Hogg, who also did the Beatles' "Let it Be" film, the Stone's special includes John and Yoko playing with the supergroup including Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Mitch Mitchell.

Other performers include The Who, Taj Mahal and Marianne Faithfull
